Presbyterian Senior Services About Us

Who We Are

Presbyterian Senior Services was founded in 1962 by the Presbytery of New York City, a not-for-profit agency serving the elderly of New York City through a network of six senior centers, a family caregivers support program, a grandparents raising grandchildren caregivers support program and three senior residences, one of which is the first residence in the country built exclusively for grandparents raising grandchildren.

PSS is a community-based organization that reflects the rich diversity of New York City neighborhoods that PSS serves and the employees who work for PSS. The agency's core values are excellence in services and fiscal responsibility and innovation in the programs PSS develops.

Our Business...

is developing programs that will empower our senior population and promote healthy aging.

Who We Are

Our staff is the front line defense against isolation and
depression in the elderly community and provides a
welcoming and stimulating environment that is run
by many senior volunteers.
